I just got back from an awesome trip to Las Vegas to celebrate Heather's and Derek's 21st Birthday. Unfortunately the awesomeness of the trip was matched by my inability to follow through on my goals. I ate way too much food and spent way too much money. Thanks goodness for second chances!
Highlights of the trip
3 Cirque du soleil shows (Love (the best), Mystere, KA)
Learning to play craps and winning (and losing) with Heather.
Learning how little I knew about BlackJack and turning that around to play some decent games.
5 Buffets in one day with Derek.
Penn and Teller Magic show.
Watching Allen light up as he talked about his Roulette winnings!
Shopping with Heather.
Eating (Sea Blue, RM Seafood, Jiulian Serrano, Border Grill) at gourmet restaurants.
Signature Hotel.
Pawn Stars.
View from Hotel and all the exquisite hotel architectures and ambiances (especially the fountains at the Bellagio).
Swimming outside and meeting crazy folks from Australia.
Conversation with those I met in the airplane, at craps, and at numerous restaurants.
